Original Plans

History

Established in 1923

1143 sits at the center of the block and is the lone entrance on 5th Ave. Originally built by the prolific architect/Developer J.E.R. Carpenter the building has undergone a rebuild and expansion.

Pinned in NYC bedrock the building is here to stay servicing contemporary and future generations of NYers w/ the same quality and attention to detail befitting the original intent of a state of the art hi end residential building. After a full century the building still retains that prestige .

Carnegie Hill Architectural Guide describes the building as a “David surrounded by Goliaths,” It sits at the center of the block and is the lone entrance on Fifth avenue. KAA Consulting has now delivered a new building while preserving the historic landmark facade with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
